So the wait is finally over! The iPad was announced today! For those of you who don’t know I am a giant Apple fan, so i’ve been waiting for this announcement for a while now. The iPad is a portable tablet computer. It will have wifi support and bluetooth capability. There are models that also have a built in 3g network and have available data plans from AT&T. The price starts at $499 and goes all the way up to almost $1,000. With all that said, here is what I think of the iPad.

It’s a very cool concept, i’m just not sure where it fits in the portable electronics world. It’s somewhere between the iphone and a laptop. The only real use I see for this is for college students to utilize it for the textbook viewing, which would all but eliminate physical textbooks (in a perfect world!). So needless to say i’m not gonna rush out to get one!
